This Statement of Work (SOW) is issued following the Judging Services Agreement between Hired Judge LLC (“Client”) and (Contractor) on the date(s) listed above, (the “Agreement”). This SOW is subject to the terms and conditions contained in the Agreement between the parties and is made a part thereof Any term not otherwise defined herein shall have the meaning specified in the Agreement. In the event of any conflict or inconsistency between the terms of this SOW and the terms of this Agreement, the terms of this SOW shall govern and prevail.

The Services shall commence on 12/6/2024 to 12/8/2024 and shall not exceed 10 hours per day.

The Contractor shall be present, either online or on-site, and ready to judge at the time designated on the initial email promoting the judging opportunity. The Contractor shall be available to accept all ballots assigned by the tournament staff on the assigned day(s).

The Contractor shall complete all ballots promptly, with associated scores and rankings needed in the respective event categories. The Contractor shall supply robust feedback for all competitors, as defined in both quantitative and qualitative terms. Feedback should not only have substantial volume (quantitative), but also actionable advice and specific ways for the competitors to improve their performance for future competitions (qualitative).

The Contractor will articulate clearly on their ballot a reason for decisions (RFD) so that all related parties (competitor, coach(es), tournament staff, etc.) are able to clearly discern how the final results were reached.

The Contractor shall conduct themselves in a professional manner such that the overall impression of the judge, tournament, client team, Hired Judge, and speech and debate activity is represented in a positive light.

The Contractor should recognize the educational nature of speech and debate adjudication and serve as a friendly, nurturing representative. The contractor should aid in supplying a positive overall experience for the competitors, and refrain from actions intended to intimidate or demean competitors.

Hired Judge LLC shall supply basic judge instructions that define the tournament schedule, location, and event offerings.

Hired Judge LLC shall supply compensation promptly, following the completion of necessary W9 or other tax information documents.

This engagement will be conducted on a Time & Materials basis. The total value for the Services by this SOW shall not exceed $220 unless otherwise agreed to by both parties. Failure to meet the above requirements may result in deductions from this fee summary and/or prohibition from being awarded future contract assignments.
